Entel GMDSS Handheld VHF Kit, suitable for UK & Irish fishing vessels. The kit includes -

  • a sturdy VHF body
  • a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (black)
  • a dated lithium battery (yellow)
  • base station to hold and charge the vhf
  • rear clip and antenna

This kit includes all items needed to pass survey. Most Irish fishing vessels 15-24m size range will need two of these kits, with the lithium dated batteries being replaced when out of date.

This vhf is a very good solid unit, easy to use and very robust. 

The charging station has the benefit of being designed to mount onto a worktop, or a bulkhead vertically. The Icom equivalent is not easily mounted onto a bulkhead (vertical panel).
